NICE Bus Lynbrook Service Change
New Routing and Stops start September 28th 
Service in Lynbrook is being realigned to accommodate changes in neighborhood infrastructure, and improve safety, transit connections and traffic flow.  See map below for details

The Eastbound stop on Merrick Rd at Hempstead Ave will move 800 ft west to 360 Merrick Rd.

The last Southbound and first Northbound stop will move to Saperstein Plaza next to the train station. The Northbound stop on Atlantic Ave will move around the corner to 360 Merrick Rd.

n31 / n32 / n31X
Northbound trips will be all be routed to Rockaway Ave to Peninsula Blvd to Merrick Rd, stopping at Rockaway Ave & Broadway and 360 Merrick Rd. Local trips will also stop on Peninsula at Linden Ave, Everett St and Olive Pl. Southbound local trips will continue to use Broadway, but stops will be consolidated.

We have adjusted our Holiday Schedule for Christmas Day and New Years Day. 

Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day will be an adjusted Sunday Schedule.  Please see timetable details here.  Schedules in the Transit App have been updated. 

 

On November 20th, the Nassau County Bus Transit Committee approved a fare hike for NICE full and reduced fare trips going into effect on January 4th, 2026.  This fare hike allows NICE to preserve the free transfer between our system and MTA buses and subways.  tThe MTA will be raising their fares on January 4th as well.

OMNY will also be available on all NICE buses for payment starting January 4th, 2026. 

On January 4th, our NICE and MTA fares will be as follows:
full fare: $3.00
reduced fare for seniors/handicaped: $1.50
Student and childrens' fare REMAIN THE SAME on NICE.

GoMobile tickets will increase accordingly:
single GoMobile ticket $3.50 (this is the same price as a single OMNY trip card from a OMNY vending machine)
multi GoMobile ticket packs $3.00 per ride
20 + 1 free GoMobile ticket pack $60.00.

Reduced fare tickets $1.50 per trip. 
Student and children's fare REMAIN THE SAME

6PM - 8PM
Due to the Williston Park Christmas TreeLighting, buses will be detoured. Although no stops will be affected please plan for the buses to run approximately 15-30 minutes behind schedule.

Lynbrook will be hosting their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event.
Hempstead Ave from Peninsula Blvd to Merrick Rd will be closed. 
Buses will be Detouring and will be unable to Service stops on Hempstead Ave between Peninsula Blvd & Merrick Rd. Please expect buses to run Approximately 10-15 minutes behind schedule.
